Ghost Recon Wildlands error code Ribera-40002 or unable to connect

Here is the gist of the article in video form:

New updates are added at the bottom of this story…….

The original story (published July 4, 2022) follows:

Part of the decades-old Ghost Recon franchise, Wildlands is a third-person tactical shooter released in March 2017.

Based on a fictionalized version of Bolivia, the open-world title spans multiple terrains like mountains, salt flats, and even deserts.

And while the game was praised for its expansive open world and visual fidelity, many criticized it for being empty and repetitive. In May of this year, many also complained that stats were not appearing or resetting after a server crash.

Adding to the issue, Ghost Recon: Wildlands players are now reporting receiving a Ribera-40002 error message and cannot connect to the server (1,2,3,4,5).

Some have tried setting up their router and port forwarding, others have disabled overlays, and a bunch of players have tried reinstalling the game, but nothing seems to help fix the problem.

I bought this game for me and three of my friends…we can’t even log in to play. I’m brand new to this game…Why is TF such a disaster online? Are all Ubisoft games like this? Typical connection issues. Ribera’s errors. I’ve spent countless hours digging into my router. I tried all the tricks in the book. We haven’t been able to have a single successful game since I bought it a week ago. I feel like a sucker for buying it FOUR times. What joke.

Completely unplayable CO-OP. Most of the time I can’t connect to the servers, I get a “Ribera-40002” error, and when I finally connect, I go to invite and I get a “Ribera-1000B” error. Friends and I bought the game a few days ago and it makes me incredibly angry that we can’t even play it.

Luckily, Ubisoft Support commented on the issue and said that the developers are aware of the Ghost Recon: Wildlands issue where many are getting the Ribera-40002 error message or unable to connect.

Hi Dan! We are aware of this issue and have reported it to the team so they can investigate further. We apologize for the inconvenience, but once we have updates to share, they will be posted on our official social media.

However, they did not share an ETA on when it will be fixed. With some reports dating back several months, we hope Ubisoft resolves the issue soon so Wildlands players can play the game.

When they do, we’ll update the article to let you know, so keep checking this space.
