Activision Blizzard is giving desperate Diablo fans the chance to grab a free beta test code, infusing corporate ink into their flesh.

Yes, if you’re ready to permanently mark yourself with a pre-approved Diablo 4 tattoo, you can also get early access to the Diablo 4 beta testing phases. Activision Blizzard has announced a new promotion for fans who haven’t yet descended into this latest dungeon crawler from the studio, and it seems aptly named. Hell’s Ink launched on July 16 at an event in Los Angeles and is still ongoing.

How to apply (ink)

Fans who wish to take advantage of this offer will need to choose from a range of pre-approved flash art, i.e. pre-drawn art available from a sheet, in a range of takeovers of tattoo studio. A total of 8 events are taking place and potential players will need to arrive in person. The advantage is that these tattoos are probably not bulky and they are free. After the ink was applied, the winners of the first even received a card with the following message.

THANK YOU FOR OFFERING YOUR CHAIR IN TRIBUTE

YOU RECEIVED EARLY ACCESS TO AN UPCOMING BETA FOR DIABLO IV AND A DIGITAL COPY OF THE GAME ON RELEASE #DIABLOHELLSINK

For fans of the franchise, that might not be such a bad trade, assuming the game does well when it launches. It is, after all, a promotional marketing stunt. The list of upcoming studios is below, but that’s not the only way to get in.

Register

As you might have guessed, players can pre-register for a key for Diablo 4 through the official website, by simply entering their details. Of course, that doesn’t guarantee a code, but it also means you’re not renting your body out for a permanent marketing stunt. If you’re ready to descend into the endless battle between the high heavens and the scorching hells, take on the latest installment in this ARPG series before it comes to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PC, then find out more on the Diablo 4 website now.
